Outfit Suggestions
I get asked fairly often about outfits and what to wear, so I’ve pulled together a simple list of suggestions of how to put your outfits together along with some great examples:
I always suggest something timeless. Fashion changes often so having something that will stand the test of time and still feel beautiful and put together is important
Simple is best. Solid coloured items with a small mix of patterns is best. No logos or pictures of clothing.
Choose coordinating outfits, not matching. Pick a colour palette and mix and match pieces within that palette. Choose colours you love or gravitate to and build outfits around that. Low contrast outfits are best.
Accessories are a great way to add to outfits but keep them simple.
Flatter your figure–don’t wear clothes that are entirely too tight or loose, or clothes that accentuate your insecurities. Wear something you feel beautiful in.
Wear something that everyone is comfortable in so that everyone can worry about having fun, family time and creating memories, and not pulling at uncomfortable clothes.
Avoid transitional glasses as they do appear as sunglasses when photographed and it is important to see your eyes.
Families will often mention wanting a more “casual” look which is fine, but I’d still suggest following these guidelines because well put together outfits will enhance your photos
I have also pulled together a pinterest board of some great suggestions of how to mix and match outfits.
